the focus studio
the focus studio opened as a production company in january 2001,
quickly gaining the respect of the fashion and advertising community,
and becoming one of the premiere production companies in los
angeles.
in june of 2004, elena vannucci and greg broussard
embarked on a creative journey to bring a state-of-the-art daylight
photography studio to venice beach. sensing the resurgence of the venice
beach boardwalk, they teamed up with renowned architect susan nardulli
(whose design credits include les deux café and the american
airlines terminal at lax) and converted a 1,300 square foot studio
loft and a 1,700 square foot art gallery into the 3,000 square
foot photography studio that it is today.
located only 50 feet from the beach, the
focus studios’ stylish
appearance, low-profile and beach location makes it the perfect
place for photographers to get the most out of their subjects.
the owners
elena vannucci was born in lake como, italy and began her
career in the commercial production world as a model for ford models
in new york. using her industry knowledge and years of experience
in the business, she came to los angeles to create the perfect
formula for still-photo shoot production with greg broussard. continuing
to give her unique “italian touch” to each and every
project, elena currently lives and works in venice, california.
greg broussard brings over a decade of production
experience to the
focus studio. after coming to southern california
to earn his b.a. in tv and film from ucla, greg had the pleasure
to work with such industry greats such as herb ritts, mathew
ralston, and michael bay. he was responsible for the production
of many celebrity shoots with the likes of elizabeth taylor,
julia roberts, dustin hoffman, and robin williams. greg
attributes much of his current success to the invaluable knowledge
that he has earned during his days in television commercial production.
he also resides and works in venice, california.
